Louis-Nicholas Clérambault, (born Dec. 19,Paris—died Oct. 26,Paris), French composer and organist whose secular chamber cantatas, his most important works, are esteemed for their grace and feeling. Clérambault was organist at several Paris churches and at Saint-Cyr and held the post of music superintendent to Mme de Maintenon.

His cantatas, published in five volumes (   Psychiatric eponyms: De Clérambault’s Syndrome Also know as erotomania, De Clérambault’s syndrome is one in which a delusional belief is held by a patient that another person, usually older and of higher social status, famous, wealthy or in a professional relationship with the patient is deeply in love with them.

The De Clerambault Code delves deep into parts of the criminal, pathological mind where most authors are far too frightened to venture. Compelling from start to finish, it is about a relationship so intense and fraught with danger and at the same time so seductive and all-encompassing that it eclipses every normal, workaday aspect of life.

De Clérambault syndrome is a chronic disease, considered relatively refractory to the treatment, both pharmacological and psychotherapeutic. 2 It is recommended to guide the clinical management to mitigate the delusion, as an attempt to reduce the stress level to which both the patient and the object of love are submitted.

De Clerambault () was a respected French psychiatrist whose research made a significant impact on early twentieth -century psychiatry: 'through his concept of mental automatism,' Joan Copjec writes, '[he] completely revised our notion of psychosis and disassembled the category of effort or will upon which the study of the psyche had.

Clerambault was flattered, thinking he had touched the popular string. The brothers-in-law spent their evenings alone together. Clerambault read, Camus drank in his verses; he knew them by heart, and told everyone who would listen to him that Hugo had come to life again, and that each of these poems was worth a victory.

Erotomania, a disorder that can be treated with psychotherapy, requires a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation in the diagnosis and treatment process. Psychotherapy usually focuses on the treatment of the underlying cause and symptoms.

The main problem underlying erotomania is the lack of love and intimacy needed in childhood. Download Clerambault; The Story Of An Independent Spirit During The War free in PDF & EPUB format.
